PLAREB
The Parañaque – Las Piñas - Alabang Real Estate Board, Inc. was incorporated in 1976 and has since then been at the forefront of the Philippine real estate experience. Exposure to the challenges of the brokering profession realized the need for mutual support through healthy unionism.
PLAREB has its dedicated and activist-spirited leadership have championed causes with the two-pronged objective of protection of the brokerʼs welfare and the raising of the standards of practice. Foremost of these is the Realty Act, a joint initiative by 2001 PLAREB President Rasyl Abela, Legislative Committee Head Mars Pompa and Committee member Atty. Filemon Fernandez which seeks to legislate the protection of the real estate professional from illegal competition. It was passed by the Senate and signed into law by then President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on June 29, 2009 now known as Republic Act 9646: The Real Estate Service Act.
At the other end of the spectrum are more modest but no less responsive and relevant projects such as the CRES and CPD Seminars for technical and educational requirements and the MLS Web, Multiple Listing Exchange, Brokers’ Caravan and Fellowship for network and marketing.
Accomplished and seasoned PLAREBians are always open to share their years of knowledge and experience with the younger members. Their presence in the monthly general membership meetings attest to their sincere offer of meaningful involvement, a reciprocation for the contribution of PLAREB to their success.
The various committees foremost of which are the Education, MLS, Vigilance and Ways and Means are always accessible to members in need of advise and support. An open readiness that is intrinsic in PLAREB’s culture of familial solidarity.
